Got extra reusable shopping bags? Foodbank Lifeline Foundation needs your help!
Check out how you can help below.

Have you got extra reusable shopping bags that are just hanging out in a lone cupboard or under the stairs? Why not put them to good use? The Foodbank Lifeline Foundation is appealing for locals to take part in their Spare a Bag for Foodbank Lifeline campaign.

While it was initially launched in schools, any member of the public can donate reusable bags – the more the merrier! “Our aim is to collect 4000 tough, large, reusable shopping bags which are a very valuable resource to us.”

“If you have some spare ones that are just left in your cupboard, put them to better use by donating them to Foodbank Lifeline. You’d be helping us save money and helping the environment!”

Here’s where you can drop off your reusable shopping bags

1. Body Works, St Julian’s – Tuesdays and Thursday from 8am to 2pm

2. Jacob’s Brew, Marsascala - Monday to Friday from 9am to 2pm, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6pm (for now until 5pm until Covid restrictions are lifted)

3. Salesians, Sliema – Wednesdays from 10am to 12pm (noon)

4. Marsa (21, Triq il-Moll Tal-Hatab) – Monday to Thursday from 9am to 1pm

5. Valletta (210, Old Bakery Street) – Mondays from 10am to 11am

For more information, you can send the Foodbank an email on [email protected].
