Good News! St John Co-Cathedral ‘A Gift of Glory’ tapestries exhibition extended till the 1st July
The tapestries date back to 1697.
The St John’s Co-Cathedral Foundation have announced that their tapestries exhibition, ‘A Gift of Glory’, has been extended until Saturday 1st July.
The tapestries were commissioned by the Grand Master of the Knights of St John, Frà Ramon Perellos y Roccafull, between 1697 and 1702.
These magnificent set of tapestries display episodes from the Life of Christ and the Triumph of the Catholic Church.

The set was sent to Belgium in 2006 where it was restored by the Royal Manufacturers De Wit Laboratories.
It is the largest complete series of tapestries in the world and covers a total area of 730 m² with a length of 120 running metres.
The visitor opening hours are Monday to Saturday between 9am to 4:45pm (last entry at 4:15pm).
