This “will give a new look to this open space”, Ghajnsielem Mayor, Kevin Cauchi expressed.

The Learning Garden was previously a playing field that was given the go ahead to be transformed into a safe and ideal space for persons with all kinds of disabilities.

The park is set to feature a play area with a learning-by-landscape concept, together with an amphitheatre for educational use, a reading area with an open library, a small bocci pitch and illumination with minimal light pollution.

Architect Shawn Micallef is the person behind such an interesting concept.

The proposal for such a project had placed first under the 'Rejuvenating Gozo' scheme managed by the GAGF under Measure 4 of the European Union.
