After a long October that felt more like summer, the Maltese islands are finally experiencing some cool and stormy weather.

The Malta International Airport metrological office has reported that “thundery showers” are expected to hit the Maltese islands over the upcoming weekend and Monday as well.

“A zone of low pressure will develop over the central Mediterranean this weekend”, the popular Facebook weather page, Maltese Islands Weather wrote.

“These are expected from around noon on Saturday 12/11 till around dawn on Monday 14/11. Some may be heavy and thundery at times”, they continued.

Between Saturday and Monday, temperatures are expected to reach a 21°C high and a 14°C low.

However, on a lighter note, no strong wind is expected as the wind force is expected to remain between a steady Force two to three.
