This seemingly never-ending bout of warm weather is set to conclude this weekend – and it’s doing so with a bang.

Local weather page It-Temp Madwarna took to social media to reveal that temperatures in Malta are set to drop by a whopping 7°C this Saturday 5th November.

Though that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

“An extensive front of cold weather is set to make its way over the Maltese islands at around midnight or in the early hours of Saturday,” It-Temp Madwarna wrote.

“During this period, we can expect thundery showers from a squall line,” it continued. The showers are set to persist throughout the day.

A squall line is a line of thunderstorms that often formers along or ahead of a cold front.

But wait, there’s more!

It-Temp Madwarna is also predicting that the early hours of Saturday will bring along cold Force Seven winds, as they’ll switch direction from southwest to west-northwest.

The Malta International Airport’s meteorological office is predicting similar conditions for this coming weekend, forecasting ‘’wind and thundery showers’ for Saturday 5th November.

Sunday is also set to bring along its fair share of whacky weather, with the met office forecasting Force Six to Force Five winds as well as isolated showers.

Are you excited for this weather?
