Get nostalgic with this look back at once popular ‘King of Pizza’ in Bugibba
Nothing can quite replace the delicious pizza of this Bugibba pizzeria from seven decades ago!

So much has changed in Bugibba over the years, but many who were familiar with the area in the past will still remember this bar and restaurant for its delicious pizza, pastizzi, Coleiro wines, ice-creams and slush puppies.

At the time, there was no restaurant more sought after in Bugibba than this pizzeria, that opened its doors in 1955, over 65 years ago!

For many locals, it was quite the treat to go there after Sunday mass or a day of playing bocci to enjoy the mouth-watering cooking of the self-proclaimed ‘King of Pizza’. Many also used to look forward to buying his delicious ice-cream after a day of swimming at the beach.

In fact, it was so sought after, that people still distinctly remember the never-ending queues to get your food! Nevertheless, wait they did, because its deliciousness was incredibly worth it!
