“I feel like it was always within me, I just wasn’t sure what it was yet. It all started with colouring doll’s faces and then moving onto friends, and the rest is history,” says Gia. She says that she finds inspiration everywhere, but namely in fashion, art, and movies.

When asked how she manages to pull off such intricate and detailed looks, she admits, “just endless patience and obsessive-compulsive attention to detail!”

When it comes to Halloween, Gia is majorly into dualism, and almost all her fantasy or character looks feature a “good and evil” side melting into each other. She also loves a good skull look: “you can never go wrong with skulls!”

Thinking about dipping your finger into make-up art? Gia recommends “practice, practice, and did I mention practice?” which might sound trivial, but true. “Whenever I teach make-up classes, I always try to encourage my students to be their own artists and seek inspiration outside Pinterest and Instagram.”
