It took seven days to create!

Local artist Justin Bonnici of Justink's and murals has outdone himself with his latest mural dedicated to COVID-19 frontliners.

The mural, titled 'Pandemic Heroes', was painted over the span of seven days in Zabbar and is situated in the area close to the playing field and police station. Sharing a picture of his stunning work on his personal Facebook page, Justin wrote: "Bigups to these guys for their sacrifices and intelligence to keep us safe."

His project has gone viral since posting yesterday evening, with over 400 shares, almost three thousand reactions and hundreds of congratulatory comments on his post.

Among the comments were several from local healthcare workers. One wrote: "Cheers mate, as a Zabbar and neighbourhood villager and as a nurse, you got me bullseye this time!" while another commented: "Thank you Justin we will keep trying to do our best. Please everybody out there take care of yourselves not to need our help."

Well done Justin, and thank you to all our healthcare workers!

When she’s not having a quarter-life crisis, Caroline is either drawing in a café, frittering her salary on sushi or swearing at traffic in full-on Gozitan. There is also the occasional daytime drink somewhere in the equation. Or two. A creative must be allowed at least one vice.
