He was a well-loved member of the community

Many took to Facebook in shock this afternoon to express their sadness at the sudden loss of Joshua Attard.

A colleague shared one of Joshua's earlier posts, dated 1st April, where he had asked those hungry and without a job to contact him direction had written: "If anyone is not working and runs out of food, please don't go to sleep with an empty stomach... I will be more than happy to share whatever food I have. I was taught growing up that where one person eats; two can eat too!" he had said.

Commenting on his kindness, Joshua's colleague wrote: "This post portrays exactly the type of person you were. Kind hearted, intelligent and always joking around. Unfortunately, the good ones always go first. Fly high my friend and watch over your precious family."

Local singer Franklin last night also extended his prayers to Joshua.

"

Our condolences to Joshua's family.

When she’s not having a quarter-life crisis, Caroline is either drawing in a café, frittering her salary on sushi or swearing at traffic in full-on Gozitan. There is also the occasional daytime drink somewhere in the equation. Or two. A creative must be allowed at least one vice.
