A fire detected earlier this morning in an apartment block on Triq l-Isponoz, Bugibba, has caused multiple road diversions around the area.

Members of the civil protection department are currently on site to quench the fires, and first indications show that no one was grievously hurt in the unfortunate accident, despite the thick cloud of smoke surrounding the apartment building.

The fire, which was reported earlier this morning, required immediate attention and four fire trucks were called in to manage it. At present, there is no access to and from the road until the situation is fully monitored and cleared.

If you’re planning to pass through Bugibba's central area in the coming hours, it is best to find an alternative route to reach your final destination in order to avoid traffic jams.

When she’s not having a quarter-life crisis, Caroline is either drawing in a café, frittering her salary on sushi or swearing at traffic in full-on Gozitan. There is also the occasional daytime drink somewhere in the equation. Or two. A creative must be allowed at least one vice.
