Get ready, folks! In true Jon Snow fashion, winter is coming and things are about to get cray cray. According to local weather site, Malta Weather, the islands are set to experience some freezing weather come Sunday that will also spread into next week.

“An intense low pressure system over the eastern Mediterranean will be drawing in frigid air from Siberia towards the central Mediterranean, resulting in the first cold snap of the season across Malta and Gozo starting from this coming Sunday with temperatures expected to feel as cold as 2°C at times!” the weather site warns. Yikes!

This weekend, temperatures will hit lows of 7°C with possible showers on the horizon. Come Monday, temps will plummet to 2°C and will hit a maximum of 11°C. Yup, we’re definitely bringing out the beanies.

Wrap up tight, people! You wouldn’t want to start the New Year with a nasty cold.
