Enemalta working to restore electricity in Gozo after contractor hits underground cables
The island of Gozo is currently experiencing an island-wide power cut. It has been revealed to be due to a third-party contractor in Mellieha damaging the high voltage underground cables supplying the islands.
The power went out at about 11:15pm.
Enemalta has taken to social media to let Gozitan residents know that repairs are currently in progress and they will be giving more updates soon.
They have not given a rough time as to when they think the repairs will be finished as of yet.
