Earlier this morning, precisely at 8:06am, a magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck the Maltese Islands.

It originated at around 100km south of Malta according to Seismic Monitoring and Research Group SMRG at the University of Malta.

Earlier this morning, precisely at 8:06am, a magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck the Maltese Islands. It originated at around 100km south of Malta according to Seismic Monitoring and Research Group SMRG at the University of Malta. This is part of an ongoing number and series of earthquakes that Malta and Gozo have been experiencing during the past few months. This will likely not to be the last earthquake as more are expected over the next few weeks and months.
