Cutie pie alert! Ferret spotted in Zurrieq steals hearts of local animal lovers
Awh!

Maltese countryside has so much to offer, from spectacular views and incredible flora and fauna, and this story proves just that. Locals were enjoying their Sunday stroll in Zurrieq when they spotted the cutest thing ever!

This little ferret popped by to say hello in Wied Babu Road and enjoyed the photo op, of course! The photogenic creature climbed up on the rocks to enjoy the gorgeous views, while also playing a little hide and seek with the locals who spotted him. How adorbs!

People were shocked and a little confused as to what this little guy was doing since ferrets aren't generally spotted in the wild, being a domestic animal. Ferrets are not to be confused with the Maltese weasel (ballotra) which is generally spotted in the countryside. We hope the little dude is ok and finds his way back home soon!

Have you ever spotted a ferret?
