Our worst fear might actually come true, folks! Could St Patrick’s Day actually be cancelled? The Malta Police Association has issued a press release about the situation that might have an effect on your boozey plans.

“Today the Malta Police Association together with the Police Officers’ Union has officially asked authorities to cancel mass gatherings such as the celebrations of St Patrick’s Day and similar events.”

They said this was done to make sure that both the public and the officials’ health are protected. “While we agree that everyone should remain calm, we believe that at this stage all measures should be taken to contain this viruse.”
