‘Classics at the Cathedral’: A night of musical splendour in Gozo this November

Get ready to listen to some classics at the cathedral! The Ulied il-Belt il-Qadima Foundation is all set to enchant the audience with a captivating classical concert titled just that ‘Classics at the Cathedral’.

This musical delight will take place on the 11th of November at 7:30 p.m., within the magnificent confines of the Gozo Cathedral in Victoria. The event promises an evening of musical splendour, featuring the renowned Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, skilfully directed by Mro. Joseph Debrincat.

Classics at the Cathedral

The concert's meticulously curated program includes a diverse selection of classical compositions. The evening will commence with Nicolò Isouard's Sinfonia in Do minore, setting the tone for a night of timeless melodies.

Following this, the audience will be treated to Carl Maria von Weber's Clarinet Concerto No. 2, Op. 74, J. 118, featuring the exceptional talents of clarinet soloist Giuseppe Recchia.

Classics at the Cathedral

To conclude this musical journey, the ever-beloved Symphony No. 41, K. 551 "Jupiter" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will grace the stage.

This spectacular event is made possible through the support of the Cultural Heritage Directorate within the Ministry for Gozo, the Classique Foundation, and the Cathedral Chapter.

The best part? Admission to this musical soirée is entirely free, allowing everyone to immerse themselves in the beauty of classical music.
