Check them out! This is your chance to check out these Nadur attractions for free
Heading on over to Malta’s sister isle this weekend? We’ve got THE activity for you. As part of Council Day 2019, the Nadur Council is opening the doors of various attractions in the locality for the public to freely visit this coming Sunday 24th November from 8am to 2pm.
1. The War Shelters
These magnificent shelters are found at the St Peter and St Paul Square and exhibit underground paths that are just waiting to be explored by the eager eye. The War Shelters are an excellent depiction of the hard work and skill that our ancestors had to exhibit and the conditions they had to endure during these trying times.
2. The Kelinu Grima Maritime Museum
The Maritime Museum is located on Parish Street and is home to quite the collection of Maltese history, including war ship pieces (cool, right?!), models, old navy uniforms, articles, and vessel parts.
3. The Kenuna Tower
The Kenuna Tower is obviously found in none other than the Ta’ Kenuna Area and is a British-built semaphore tower. It boasts incredible views, sitting at 130m above sea level and was used to send signals to ships.
4. The Sopu Tower
Located on a cliff between San Blas and Dahlet Qorrot bays, the watchtower dates back to 1667 and was built by the Knights. The area surrounding Sopu Tower is now a designated special conservation area and the views are just insane!
Don’t mind if we do!
