What a beauty! The Shrine of Our Lady of Mercy found in the southern town of Qrendi has been given a facelift and is looking fabulous! The largeish church in the the small town underwent works to restore it to its former glory.

Throughout history, it has been a popular location for believers, even becoming a sanctuary for pilgrims. The church was built in 1650 on the remains of a previous one and is considered to be one of the most beautiful ones on the island.

People from all over the island would visit this church, mainly due to the fact that many blessings were bestowed upon those who visited.
