The fascinating ‘CARBONARO’ exhibition is set to grace the halls of Il-Ħaġar Museum in Pjazza San Ġorġ, Victoria, marking a significant addition to the exceptional series of temporary exhibitions commemorating the cultural centre's tenth anniversary this year.

Opening its doors on Saturday, the 9th of September, the exhibition showcases the artistic prowess of Pawl Carbonaro, a distinguished artist born in Sliema in 1948, now residing in Żebbuġ, Gozo. With a rich history of successful exhibitions spanning back to the 1960s, Carbonaro's journey was nurtured by his father Hugo before continuing under the tutelage of Esprit Barthet and further studies in Italy, resulting in his distinctive artistic voice.

Displaying a diverse array of sixty pieces encompassing landscapes, abstracts, and etchings, the exhibition offers a thrilling experience that allows visitors to delve into Carbonaro's unique artistic approach. His works, characterised by their emotive intensity, dynamic gestures, and profound exploration of space and colour, beckon viewers to explore the intricacies of his artistic journey.

The exhibition will be open for art enthusiasts and curious minds to explore until the 5th of November, providing ample time to relish the depth and breadth of Carbonaro's creative expressions.

Accompanying the exhibition is the release of the catalogue titled "Il-Ħaġar GEMS 26," offering insights and context into Carbonaro's artistic legacy. The exhibition owes its success to the support of various institutions, both public and private, with special recognition to the Gozo Action Group Foundation through the LEADER Programme.

Il-Ħaġar Museum welcomes visitors daily from 9 am to 5 pm, extending an open invitation to experience the world of Carbonaro's artistry completely free of charge.
