Days of old! Charming photo shows the joy of a beach day at Ramla l-Hamra in Gozo
A different kind of beach day!

A photo shared by the National Archives of Malta depicts quite the picturesque scene in Gozo.

Taken quite a number of decades ago, the shot shows what a typical summer beach day consisted of at Ramla l-Hamra Bay in Gozo.

They used to set up tents to create the ideal amount of shade, even though the sun's rays weren't as potent back then. A number of carts can even be spotted across the beach. Perhaps they took their horses for a swim?

Can you remember what your beach days looked like as a child?
