The fifth edition of the Premju ghall-Arti has officially been launched by Arts Council Malta, within the Ministry for National heritage, the Arts and Local Government.
So, what is the Premju ghall-Arti?
Albert Marshall, Executive Chairman at Arts Council Malta described the high-profile national event as “a celebration by the Council for the primary achievements in the Maltese cultural and creative sectors.”
“This is also a way in which the Arts Council showcases its community effort, as the awards are one of the many opportunities for creatives and artists,” Mr Marshall continued.

Launched in 2017, the aim of the awards is to acknowledge and reward innovative work and encourage creativity in the cultural and arts fields.
Minister for the National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government Josè Herrera, spoke of the importance of this event saying, “through this initiative, we’re continuously ensuring that our creatives and artists’ efforts and work are being recognised.”
