1. Lot61, Valletta
Right in the heart of Malta’s capital city, there is not one single local who doesn’t love Lot61's coffees. You can even buy your own coffee blends to take home with you.
2. Jacob's Brew Café - Pay It Forward, Marsaskala
This café is run by Jacob, who in 2013 was in the ITU fighting for his life. Now, he dedicates a percentage of the revenue from his coffee shop to the NGO Survivors Malta. The NGO helps families who are facing large traumas.
Not only can you enjoy a nice cuppa but you can also help to pay it forward.
3. Tal-Ħwawar u Tal-Kafe', Valletta
Originally just a spice shop, this locally run expert coffee shop welcomes you with a strong smell of amazing spices, friendly service and a traditional Maltese setting.
4. MUMENTI - Espresso bar, Mosta
Enjoy all kinds and types of coffees while enjoying the impressive views of Mosta’s rotunda church. Bonus, they also serve some top notch cocktails.
5. COFFEE & strangers Espresso Bar, Sliema
This is Malta’s very first sensory experience espresso bar. They organise all kinds of coffee workshops and sell a huge variety of different coffee equipment. It can’t get more top-notch than this.
6. Loaf, Gzira
Located in the heart of Gzira, this coffee shop has a great variety of coffee that you can wash down with their signature croissants or their sourdough breads. Side note, they make a killer Chai Latte.
7. Kasa Kafe, Mosta
Tucked away in Mosta, this colourful coffee house offers some impressive speciality coffee blends that no coffee lover wants to miss.
8. Finca Velez Coffee Shop, Sliema
Finca Velez is a truly unique coffee shop in Malta. It’s set in a Colombian inspired setting and they get their beans directly imported to them from selected farms in Colombia.
9. Milano Moka, Xewkija, Gozo
If you’re looking for a true cup of Italian coffee while in Gozo, look no further than Milano Mako. They make all their coffee in the Moka coffee machine which was designed by Alfonso Bialetti in 1933. It is truly a work of art. They also serve authentic Sicilian pastries and Italian curated meats and cheese.
10. Victoria Central, Victoria, Gozo
Located right before the steps of Citadel, this coffee shop is every coffee lover’s dream. Decorated in a variety of coffee inspired objects and prints, this spot is perfect for enjoying a cosy cup of coffee inside or you can even opt to enjoy it while taking in the view of Independence Square from their outdoor seating. They also roast their coffee in-store for guests to experience live.
