What a glow! Malta locals capture breathtaking photos of last night's Beaver Full Moon
Last night, the moon appeared noticeably larger and more radiant than an ordinary full moon!

Yesterday, on November 5th, sky-gazers across Malta were treated to a brilliant display as the Beaver Full Moon illuminated the night.

Several local photographers and enthusiasts took the chance to capture the striking lunar scene from different spots around the islands.

This particular full moon was notable for being both the brightest and nearest of 2025. The phenomenon occurred because the full moon coincided with its perigee - the point in its orbit when it is closest to Earth. As a result, the moon appeared noticeably larger and more radiant than an ordinary full moon.

Among those who snapped memorable shots was Marika Caruana, who photographed the glowing moon rising behind the iconic Mdina Cathedral while Joseph Borg captured the moment from Birkirkara.

Did you capture a glimpse of last night’s moon?
