If you're currently researching your next artistic venture, working on making it big in the art world or just sketching your thoughts away in your drawing pad, put your pencils aside and read on - this might very well turn out to be the launching pad you've been looking for!

Heritage Malta
Heritage Malta, the agency behind MUZA, the Malta National Community Art Museum, has issued an open call for the design of "two artistic expressions which will be installed and displayed along the main façade of the Auberge d’Italie in Valletta" with the intention to attract the attention of passers-by and instigate them into venturing through and exploring the museum.
The selected theme for the two life-size artistic installations has been aptly named ‘City Life’. This choice takes into consideration the museum's surrounding environment and supplements Heritage Malta's aim to inspire proposals which are "major, cutting-edge, contemporary art statements". While artists may be restricted by the theme, choice of material is up to their discretion and with a budget of €120,000 for the entire project, their visualizations on paper might shortly be moving into the real realm!
The deadline may be 13th January 2020, but don't let the year fool you. Two and a half months will fly by in a second! If you're interested in submitting a design, you can find the application form and further information here.
So what are you waiting for? Get conceptualizing!
