Prime Minister Robert Abela and Vice Prime Minister Chris Fearne have just given a press conference about the current state of the COVID-19 being in Malta.
Among other things, the Prime Minister has announced that a travel ban is now in place and urges all citizens to refrain from travelling unless absolutely necessary.

As of today, people coming in from Spain, Germany, France, Switzerland and Italy are to observe obligatory quarantine for 14 days at home. A fine of €1,000 will apply for every time persons who are meant to be in quarantine are found outside. It was also announced that random and frequent police spot checks will be implemented.
Stay safe, folks and take necessary precautions!
