Brrr! Malta registered LOWER temperatures than Ireland & Norway last night
The Maltese Islands are feeling the chill.

It’s finally starting to feel like winter on the Maltese Islands! Despite the sunny skies, temperatures have continued to plummet, with lower temperatures touching the single digits.

The temperatures have been uncharacteristically cold for the islands at this time of year, with hailstorms and rain also falling over the last couple of days. And while you may think we’re exaggerating about the chill in the air, it’s not in our imagination!

Local weather page It-Temp Madwarna has reported that at midnight last night, local temperatures were even lower than those recorded in large parts of Ireland, the Faroe Islands and even the Norwegian coast!

It might not be quite as bad as it seems though, as the weather forecasters explain that the warmer temperatures in other parts of Europe could be due to an influx of warm air from North Africa… hmm, that must be it then.

Still, it’s mighty cold, so wrap up warm out there!
