BRRR! Last night was one of the coldest nights in Malta & Gozo this Winter
Did you feel the cold last night?

Emma Galea

The night between the 5th January and the 6th January was one of the coldest nights the Maltese islands experienced this Winter.

Temp Madwarna, the popular social media weather page reported that this was due to the cold weather moving from the Balkans to the Mediterranean.

At one-point temperatures went so low that some villages found within the valley areas recorded a 6°C temperature.

Rural zones also recorded an impressive low temperature of 7°C whilst urban and coastal areas recorded a 10°C and 12°C respective low.

After an unusually very warm November and December, it looks like winter weather has finally arrived!
