Gozitan tenor Angelo Muscat has come out on top at the third edition of the Christmas Carols & Masterpieces Competition in Romania.
Angelo managed to win first place in the Professional Soloists category in the 19 to 24-year-old age group.
“Dedicating this success to my vocal mentor Prof. Michela Sburlati for her guidance and tutorship”, Angelo wrote on social media.
“Thanks to my pianist Christine Gauci who accompanied me impeccably on the piano”, he continued.
For his winning performance, Angelo sang ‘Gesù bambino’, an Italian Christmas carol composed by Pietro Yon and Adolphe Adam’s ‘O holy night’.
Well done Angelo!
