Brace yourselves! Here are the 7 stages of hitting Back-to-School traffic tomorrow

Ah, September, the time when the weather gets cooler, we settle down into our winter routines and say ‘sayonara’ to our summer lives (and bodies). But one thing we’re not looking forward to is that God-forsaken back to school traffic.

1. Today is THE day

You’re ready to get through the insane traffic that lies ahead. You’ve even packed water and snacks for the journey, just in case it's a mad one.

2. “Uwijja, it won’t be bad”

Said that ONE optimistic kid in the WHOLE of Malta.

3. A breeze

It’s a breeze getting out of the outskirts of your town, but once you hit the main road, there’s no going back.

4. Ufffffffff

E V E R Y O N E is huffing and puffing their way through the morning traffic, because that’s the only way they can cope.

5. That eye contact

You’re staring off into the distance, and start looking around since, you know, you’re stuck in standstill traffic. Your eyes lock with the guy next to you for that awkward second, then there’s no going back. ‘Bongu siehbi!

6. Illistrina, kemm ha ndumu!

Blood is boiling and now you’re getting PISSED. You left earlier than usual, in the hopes of still making it to work on time, but as time is slowly pressing, your hope is slowing dying. #Jesustakethewheel

7. FINALLY!

Thank the heavens, you’re outta there and finally at work. Coffee first, potty break second, chocolate third and then you can get started with the day.

Good luck out there!
