If you’re visiting the Maltese Islands this week, you’re in for another spell of intense summer weather, with temperatures expected to remain high throughout the week and real feel values climbing to as much as 37°C.

According to the latest six-day forecast, sunny conditions will dominate from Tuesday through Friday, with maximum air temperatures ranging between 32°C and 33°C.

However, due to humidity and other atmospheric factors, temperatures will feel considerably hotter, with the real feel index reaching 36°C and peaking at 37°C on Wednesday and Thursday.

Minimum temperatures will remain warm, hovering between 23°C and 24°C overnight, offering little respite from the daytime heat. Winds are expected to be generally light to moderate, mainly from the west and northwest, while sea conditions are forecast to remain smooth to slight, making for favourable conditions at the coast.

Saturday is expected to bring a slight change, with partly cloudy skies and a marginal drop in temperatures. Nevertheless, the real feel temperature is still forecast to reach 36°C, ensuring that the heatwave-like conditions persist into the weekend. Sunny weather is then expected to return on Sunday.

Meanwhile, UV levels will remain high, with the UV Index reaching 10 on most days and dropping only slightly to 9 on Saturday.

With schools closing and many people heading to beaches and outdoor events, the summer season is certainly making its presence felt. Those planning activities outdoors are encouraged to take extra care as Malta experiences one of its hottest weeks so far this season, with real feel temperatures approaching the 37°C mark.

Are you looking forward to another hot week ahead?
