Maltese strongman Tony Farrugia announced he broke a longstanding world record for the tightest circumference of an aluminium frying pan rolled with bare hands in 30 seconds.

Tony managed to bend his frying pan to less than 17.4cm, beating the record set by American national Scott Murphy in 2007, who had bent his utensil to 17.46cm.

He said he is now awaiting Guinness to officially formalise his achievement as a new world record.

The Maltese strongman broke the record at the recent old classic car and motor show in Santa Luċija during a public show in aid of Puttinu Cares.
