Ramla Bay is one of the most sought-after bays on the island, and dare I say, the country, so an intervention to protect the site that welcomes so many tourists and locals each year was needed, said Gozo Minister Justyne Caruana.

The masterplan will take into consideration current aspects of the bay and while protecting it, make sure that the popular swimming zone is prepared for the future, whatever it may hold!

The Ramla Bay masterplan will address current challenges that the beach faces while also keeping in mind its ecological and historical importance on Malta’s sister isle, and protecting the natural heritage of the surrounding area.

The masterplan will also tackle better traffic management in the area and improve the facilities, since Ramla Bay is a certified Blue Flag beach and needs to constantly meet certain standards.
