The official St John’s Co-Cathedral social media account has issued a warning about a scam involving fake ticket sales targeting cathedral visitors.

‘Fraudulent profiles and websites are being set up to imitate the St John’s Co-Cathedral Foundation, aiming to sell counterfeit tickets,’ the announcement stated. Visitors were reminded that tickets should only be purchased through the cathedral’s official website or authorised channels.

The statement strongly advised against buying tickets for entry, concerts, or performances from third-party sources.

‘We never request personal information, passwords, or PINs,’ the warning emphasised. ‘Avoid clicking on suspicious links, and do not share any personal or banking details.’

Visitors were urged to report any suspicious activity immediately by calling the cathedral's official contact number, 2122 0536 or emailing [email protected].

Stay attentive!
