Luzzu, the Maltese award-winning film that was released back in 2021 is set to be shown on the English television channel, BBC Four this coming Saturday at 9pm.
The film centres around a Maltese fisherman played by Jesmark Scicluna, who enters the black fishing market in order to support his wife and child.

Luzzu runs for around an hour and a half and English subtitles will be provided as the film’s dialogue is largely in Maltese.
Alex Camilleri, the director of the film won ‘The Someone to watch’ award at the prestigious 2022 Film Independent Spirit awards while Jesmark Scicluna won ‘World Cinema Dramatic Special Jury Award in acting’at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.
