An Australian lad has gone and earned himself AUD$50,000 after correctly answering a question about Malta on Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Australian spin-off TV show Millionaire Hot Seat.

A simple question to European residents, but possibly a tad more difficult for people on the other side of the globe, the man was asked: "Known as 'The Fortress City', Valletta is the capital of which country?" Given four options to choose from; Thailand, Venezuela, Cyprus and Malta, the man deliberated for a long time before settling on the last option with only one second to spare on the clock.

Maltese viewers were ecstatic for him, with one Facebook user commenting: "I was screaming at my TV for him!"

That's enough to book him three holidays to Malta!
