We can expect a breather from this intense heat from Thursday.
You might be sweating buckets as you read this, but we’re here to tell you that cooler weather is on its way.
While temperatures are currently feeling as hot as 41°C across the Maltese islands, things are expected to change from Thursday.
According to Malta Weather, a moderate to strong northwesterly wind will bring cooler air to the central Mediterranean on the public holiday.
Maltese Islands Weather reported a similar forecast, adding “the anticyclone that has brought us successive plumes of hot air from over north Africa will weaken slightly. This should allow slightly cooler air from over Europe to infiltrate our region.”
From Thursday, maximum temperatures are expected to reach 32/33°C – the average maximum levels – while lows will be around 23°C.
