All about balance! Yogi pulls off incredible poses against stunning local backdrops
Yoga is all about relaxation and connecting the mind and body, but often we forget that there is also some fun to be had with practising it. One yoga master’s Instagram account shows just how enthralling it can be with a series of advanced yoga poses photographed against different Maltese backgrounds.
We’ve taken the liberty of compiling our favourites in a list below, but be warned! You may experience a sudden unexplainable urge to take out your yoga mat after seeing these.
1. Call me a starfish!
"Staying in this pose was easy but getting there was a bit trickier," Maiju writes in her caption. The other photos in the collection provide a sweet glimpse of the pair's efforts to stick their pose.
2. Look, just one leg!
This pose is the inverse of the one above, and even though it looks hella difficult, we're tempted to try this out with our close friends. On a sofa. With cushions scattered everywhere.
3. Don't mind us, we're just here chilling

4. Trust issues? None!
There's something magical about sunsets at Ghajn Tuffieha. Add an interesting acro-yoga pose and it borders on the majestic.
5. Dirty Dancing is for rookies
Most of us common mortals may still be attempting to land the iconic overhead lift featured in Dirty Dancing (1987), but this bunch have long mastered it and have now gone over and above. We're not envious, you are!
BONUS: Simple is stunning
Granted, this is more acrobatics than yoga, but we couldn't resist slotting this beautiful picture in!
