What a beaut!

Welcome aboard! The HMS Defender, a Type 45 air-defence destroyer built for the Royal Navy is currently docked at the Grand Harbour in Valletta.

The British High Commission took to Facebook to announce that the ship is in Malta once more and is enjoying the views of the Grand Harbour.

Construction for Defender began in 2006 and she was officially launched in 2009. Sea trials were completed in October and November of 2011 and was commissioned in March 2013. HMS Defender has been deployed on various missions, but is now chilling in our waters for a while.
