After this mad rain, could Malta be in for a drier than average December?

The Maltese Islands are currently experiencing some mad rainfall, with the Met Office having issued a strong wind warning which states that “The West Northwest wind will be strong over the Maltese Islands. Valid until 11pm tonight.”

We’ve had some crazy weather these past few weeks, with lots of rainfall, thunder and strong winds that did leave some damages but nothing like last February’s 'Hurricane' Dnegel. But, according to the local weather site Malta Weather, things seem to be looking up come Christmas month.

“A warmer and drier December!” Malta Weather announce. “December across Malta and Gozo looks like it will start on the cold side but could end up warmer than average. Rainfall totals for December also look like they will be below average!”

Hear that, kids? This could mean that we might be able to ditch the coat this Christmas. But don’t go getting out those t-shirts again. It won’t be that warm.
