After a chunk of last year’s public holidays fell on a weekend, what’s in store for 2020?
Last year, we had one of the crappiest calendars ever, with quite a chunk of our public holidays falling on a weekend. Boo! But, will 2020 be the same?
Good news, though! Out of the 11 public holidays we’ve got (not including New Year, Good Friday and Christmas), we’re only missing out on TWO days! HEL-LO long weekends! #KemmHuKbirIlMulej
Here is the list of public holidays that we will totally be making use of in 2020:
1. St Paul’s Shipwreck: Monday 10th February (long weekend alert!)
2. Feast of St Joseph: Thursday 19th March
3. Freedom Day: Tuesday 31st March
4. Worker’s Day: Friday 1st May (long weekend alert!)
5. Sette Giugno: Sunday 7th June (booo!)
6. Feast of St Peter and St Paul, also known as L-Imnarja: Monday 29th June (long weekend alert!)
7. Feast of the Assumption, also known as Santa Marija: Saturday 15th August
8. Feast of Our Lady of Victories: Tuesday 8th September
9. Independence Day: Monday 21st September (long weekend alert!)
10. Feast of the Immaculate Conception: Tuesday 8th December
11. Republic Day: Sunday 13th December (booo!)
And just in case you were wondering, Carnival is falling on the penultimate weekend of February (20th-22nd), Easter will be celebrated on 12th April and Christmas Day is falling on a Friday.
Great, right?
