Actor Charles Thake’s daughter remembers him on the third anniversary of his passing
Three years ago, Malta bid farewell to a homegrown performer, actor Charles Thake. One of his children, Maryanne Thake paid tribute to her “doting Daddy” on the third anniversary of his passing.
“Today is the third anniversary since you left us, my beloved, precious Daddy. Three whole years without you. How have they passed Daddy?” Maryanne starts off in a heartfelt post on social media.
“I miss you every single day and if I could, I would have you back here with me in a flash... but I cannot. All I can do is pray for you, think of you and miss you terribly. Today I want to commemorate a wonderful Daddy. A kind Daddy. A doting Daddy. A special Daddy. A loving Daddy. He was so sweet. I want to commemorate the person he really was....... not the person people saw on stage but the real person. Someone who dedicated his whole life to his wife and six children. Someone who gave his all for us.”
“He was loving to a fault. A quiet, creative person who wrote prose and poetry. A person who loved life and loved Malta. A person who could rattle off Maltese History like the best researcher. A person who, along with Mummy did his best to help everyone in need... even abroad as they helped the missions for about 28 years,” she continues, saying she could go on about her beloved father.
“Today, as happens every day, I will mourn his loss, but today will be a special day when I will remember him more. The day we lost him. The day we could never get him back again. The day that beautiful voice he had was stilled. The day that kind heart stopped beating. Rest in peace, my beloved Daddy. We all love you and will never forget all you did so lovingly for us. We will be your legacy.”
