This hotel just outside the capital has seen the likes of some famous people.
What an absolute stunner! Do you remember The Phoenicia Malta’s ballroom like this? These vintage shots show visitors having a grand old time in the gorgeous hotel’s elegant ballroom a little while back.
Both ladies and gents would dress in their Sunday best and look dapper on the dancefloor as they swayed to the band’s music. This particular photo is said to date back to the 1970s.

The hotel, situated just outside the capital’s walls, has seen the likes of a number of international celebrities including Alec Guinness, Joaquin Phoenix, Arnold Schwarzenegger and royals like Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. “This photo was taken in our Grand Ballroom during her time in Malta in 1949. Here she is seen with Lady Pamela Hicks in an Eightsome Reel at a Military Dance,” The Phoenicia shared in a Facebook post. Can you spot them dancing the night away?
