The improving strategy
The strategy will cover a 10-year period and will see around €30 million invested in new sport facilities in various locations, as well as €6 million invested in athlete training, including bringing foreign coaches to Malta to help raise the bar locally in different sporting disciplines by 2020.
This investment of €36 million will be over and above the annual €11 million granted to SportMalta. The new investment will come from the citizenship scheme fund.
