The church will officially reopen at the end of this week with a special Mass on Friday 6th February.
Valletta’s Jesuits’ Church, one of the most significant gems of Malta’s cultural and religious heritage, has been given a new lease on life following the completion of an extensive restoration project.
After years of careful and detailed works, this historic site is now ready to welcome the public once again. The church will officially reopen at the end of this week with a special Mass on Friday 6th February at 6pm, which members of the public can attend in person or follow live on TVM+.

The restoration project covered a wide range of works aimed at preserving the church’s architectural beauty while ensuring its long-term sustainability. These included the restoration of walls and ceilings, stone repairs, balustrade conservation, window restoration, marble floor polishing, electrical system upgrades, and the installation of modern security systems.

Works also extended to the restoration of the Oratories, roof, dome, chapels, bell tower, and the church façades, ensuring that every element of this historic structure received the attention it deserves.
