Now this is a throwback! These photos of Sliema shared to a popular Malta group on Facebook are a blast from the past which Helen Thomas snapped back in the late ‘90s.
There are some great shots which gave us all the nostalgic feels, particularly the old yellow buses which we miss dearly. Riding on one of these to your desired destination was an experience in itself. The lack of AC was a bit of a problem though...
Helen also snapped the gorgeous seaside bays that Sliema boasts, including the stretch along Qui-Si-Sana, as well as an garden.
She also captured the Melita bus which provided a tour of the Three Cities and departed from the Sliema Ferries.
Bonus! She also added a photo of the old Malta International Airport, which has since received some TLC.
