Valletta is the absolute best place to join in on the Halloween festivities this year - after all, it's host to numerous haunted houses dontcha' know! It's ideal for bar hopping with your besties down to its eclectic mix of funky establishments, and you just have to get dressed up for the occasion! Here are just a few ideas to get you going. Happy Halloween!

If you really want to go all out for a Valletta themed Halloween this year, why not channel the Knights Of St John? If you don’t have any armour lying about, use tinfoil! This one’s great for a group of friends.

2. Zombie '50s Barmaid

We’ve all heard the stories of Strait Street’s notorious past…This one’s for all the vintage lovers! Ask your nanna if you can borrow one of her retro dresses, add red lippy and a silk headscarf and you’re good to go. Don’t forget the fake blood!

3. Frankenstein Freddie Portelli

Malta’s very own answer to Elvis Presley, Freddie Portelli’s lewk is easy to imitate. Nab yourself some green face paint for that Frankenstein’s Monster je ne sais quoi, and accessorise with some '70s shades and mutton chop sideburns.

4. Spooky Sarah Zerafa

For those who still want to look stylish, forget the usual “sexy black cat” and opt for a spooky doll style look that Sosa would be proud of. Find yourself a frilly dress and amp up the makeup with fake lashes and drawn-on freckles. Creepy!

5. Haunted Baroque Damsel

If you're a bit of a romantic and love dressing up, and just happen to have an old ballgown lying around, why not channel your inner aristocrat and go full-on Baroque? Style an elaborate up-do and dust it with talcum powder, and re-live the magic of Valletta's 17th century glamour!
