Late night beach BBQs are so last week. As the weather takes a turn for the cool, it’s all about packing in as many movie nights as possible, and we’ve got the perfect list to keep you entertained. Here are a few of my favourites.

Lord of the Rings

Probably one of the greatest trilogies ever, with a prequel that had Tolkien fans drooling over their popcorn. Pop your favourite Lord of the Rings movie on or better yet; watch the lot over a single weekend - goals.

The Perfect Storm

The Perfect Storm packs a punch if you’re into stormy-sharky-adventury movies. Watch the massive waves crash onto the set’s fishing boat where tonnes of action scenes liven up your living room.

Star Wars

Best movie ever this is - you’d only understand this if you’ve actually watched Star Wars. If you haven’t watch them yet, in release date order or chronological order, they're equally captivating and well worth the time.

Harry Potter

Nothing gives you an autum/winter feel like Harry Pottter. Every one of the movies is memorable, with lovable characters and detailed plots that truly reflect the author's imagination.

The Hunger Games

If you want to feel like a kid again, watch Toy Story - a childhood classic that gave our bedside companions a voice. Whether you’re Team Buzz or Team Woody, you know Pixar will not disappoint.

Precious

A serious, all too real movie that focuses on the challenges a young girl has to face while growing up in poverty. Prepare for a few weeps and sniffles here.
