We absolutely love seeing locals making waves and succeeding in whatever they do, and when there’s a sweet story, we just can’t help but have all the feels! 

Meet Charline Magro, a 26-year-old Maltese model with Down Syndrome who over the weekend took part in a local fashion competition at the Montekristo Estates, taking home a trophy! The model made her red carpet debut, being presented with the title of Miss Simpatika Malta 2019 (Miss Charming Malta 2019).

In comments to TVM, Charline said that while she has Down Syndrome, she still feels she is capable of showcasing her talents, just like everybody else. Charline gave a heartfelt thanks to all those who supported her during her journey.

Charline also said that she is looking forward to taking part in another competition to continue spreading joy and positivity within the community, and hopes to be an inspiration for people with challenges, encouraging them not to give up and to continue chasing their dreams.
