Heads up! New traffic diversions at Msida Creek junction on Thursday 3rd July from 8pm
Drivers, take note if you plan on passing through Msida tonight!

If you're planning to drive through Msida this evening, take note! A new set of traffic diversions will come into effect at the Msida Creek junction from tonight, Thursday 3rd July starting at 8pm.

Coming from Birkirkara, you’ll only be able to access Msida via Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli, leading toward the skatepark roundabout. If you’re coming from Valletta, you’ll only be able to proceed to Triq D’Argens or towards Il-Wied ta’ Birkirkara – there will be no direct access through Msida.

You might want to rethink your route. The Marsa-Ħamrun Bypass is recommended as a faster and more direct alternative, especially for those continuing towards northern or southern Malta from Valletta.

These diversions are part of ongoing works at the Msida Creek area, aimed at improving road infrastructure and easing long-term congestion. In the meantime, some short-term delays are expected.

Allow extra travel time tonight and over the coming days, and stay updated via official traffic notices.

Stay safe and plan ahead!
