Yellow weather warning! Thundery showers and strong winds expected across Malta and Gozo
Autumn weather is in full swing!

Lyndsey Grima

The Malta Meteorological Office has issued a yellow ‘Be Aware’ weather warning, cautioning residents and visitors of isolated thundery showers, strong wind gusts, and possible hail affecting the Maltese Islands throughout the day. The warning remains in effect until 8:00 p.m. and may be renewed depending on weather developments.

Periods of heavy rainfall and sudden gusts could lead to localised flooding, reduced visibility, and hazardous driving conditions, especially in exposed or low-lying areas.

The public is advised to exercise caution, avoid unnecessary travel during intense showers, and secure outdoor items that could be displaced by strong winds.

Authorities urge seafarers and small craft operators to remain vigilant, as sea conditions may deteriorate rapidly.

Are you loving this thundery weather?
